Fulfilling the teaching of Jesus Christ, our Lord, “Love thyneighbour”(Luk:10:27), Santhwanam is striving to find neighbour indistress. It is gratifying that, Santhwanam is a fruitful instrumentin radiating and transmitting the love of God. It is to be appreciatedthat Santhwanam team came into spontaneous action to save common manseverely affected by unprecedented flood situation in Kerala duringAug 2018. I convey hearty appreciation and congratulations for theyeoman service rendered by Santhwanam team in collaborating with localvolunteers in procuring essential commodities and distributing tohapless during life endangering situations. This spirit shall enlivento provide social welfare and justice to the deprived.

I take this opportunity as a great privilege to share the highlightsof god’s ineffable gifts and blessings on Santhwanam. I am happy tosay that Santhwanam, the social development organization of ThrissurArchdiocese plays an important role in promoting both rural and urbandevelopment in the Archdiocese. I am well aware that Santhwanam hasbeen an effective instrument in transforming people’s lives andpromoting their well being by love and care. It is reflection of thehumanitarian and developmental activities that Santhwanam is downrightinvolved in. It is also an occasion to look back on the past and moreforward with renewed confidence and global vision.

Santhwanam is the social Apostolate Centre of the Archdiocese of Trichur. It is the official body of the diocese that spreads the divine message of love and peace to the humanity by providing various charitable activities for helping the poor and the needy people. From the very inception, Archdiocese of Thrissur has engaged different charitable activities like helping the poor for housing, marriage, education, medical aid, self employment etc. without discrimination of religion, caste, creed, colour or gender of the beneficiaries.
